Produced as a segment in the weekly
international broadcast and webcast Maranatha Mission
Stories, Five Days in Africa is a piece designed to
introduce audience regulars to the country of Mozambique
-- where Maranatha, a sort of Habitat for Humanity for
churches and school construction, has committed to
building 1000 church/schools over 3 years.
Brillhart shot the piece with his
Canon XlH1 using the HDV 1080i 60 format which is
Maranatha's chosen acquisition format for all of it's
field productions.
Even before Brillhart had left the
African continent, he had begun capturing and prepping
the piece for its eventual broadcast. The cool thing
about this type of program, it allows room for
displaying the artistic side of the DP's work. Enjoy.
